All of you beautiful, broken women-

A poem from our book, A Beautiful Violation

06 Untitled - Poetic Cosmos of the Breath

All of you beautiful, broken women

The shy tightens
Veins against blue
Bleeding over us

Winds die down
Red glow emerges
Slow, greedy night

Darkness illuminates darkness
Over flowing confessions
Regret contains beauty

Staring into voids
Utterings of silence
So unmistakably human

Comfortable with decay
My broken body
Can’t hold sorrow

A final scream
A bitter sigh
Final respectful nods

In thick remorse
Threads of tears
Another mistrusted exit
